Remove Contact Lens Stuck Under Eyelid
I've heard of people getting a contact lens stuck under their upper eyelid. Didn't think it was possible until it happened to me.
My eye was itchy, so I rubbed it. Blinked a few times and my right eye's vision turned blurry. I assumed the lens had fallen out. Didn't bother looking for it because it was about time to replace it with a new one anyway. A few minutes later, I felt something scratching under my eyelid. When I lifted it up to look at it in the mirror, I saw my lens folded in two and stuck to the inner surface of my eyelid. I tried rubbing gently to get it to slide out, but it wouldn't budge. My hands aren't steady so I didn't want to try it with tweezers or even a Q-tip. If I had health insurance, I would have immediately gone to a doctor. Instead I had to figure out how to do it myself. (Didn't occur to me to go online to search for advice.)

1. Bend over the bathroom sink.
2. Lift eyelid in such a way that there's a big space between eyelid and eyeball.
3. Flush with a lot of tepid water. Resist the urge to blink.
The lens should wash away with the water.

After reading other people's experiences online, I think I should have first tried turning my eyelid inside out.

I consider myself an expert on tooth extraction after having had all four of my wisdom teeth extracted on four separate occasions over the course of a decade. No, I haven't had the misfortune of having a regular tooth pulled out and I don't intend to let any of my teeth decay to the point where that is going to happen.
