The ingredients list is a bit complicated (alarms going off) but it’s basically a protein blend, natural brown sugar, non-hydrogenated margarine (!), corn syrup, chocolate chips vegetable gycerin, milk chocolate coating, cocoa processed with alkali, egg natural flavors, caparve, baking soda, salt, konjac flour and guar gum. (Yes, it’s more complicated than that if you look at the label.)
Lenny and Larry say that their caparve is made from cultured dextrose, flour and/or corn starch. The “parve” element makes me think it inhibits mold in a kosher way. Konja flour is from the Japanese konnyaku plant. I think it works as a thickener.
Allergy Information: Contains milk, wheat, egg and soy products. Manufactured in a plant that processes peanut, tree nut, wheat, soy, milk and egg products.
